Let's be real, Halo peaked with Halo 3. CE - 3 are masterpieces, everybody knows this. Reach is good as its own standalone game, but not CE - 3 level good. Halo 4 is utter trash, Halo 5 is an abomination. As for Infinite, I won't even bother playing it. I'll just say that still fails to understand the appeal of Halo after all this time, even though Bungie's era ended with Reach I decided to replay the older games in preparation for Infinite.
